The design concept behind Illuminaire was to focus not on the size of the space available, but to focus on the quality of space. This one-bedroom unit was designed to be luxurious yet practical. Such a unit is aimed at single professionals or childless couples, thus, the primary design aim was minimal maintenance with privacy being a lesser issue. With these two concepts, the design aesthetics were modern, with clean lines forming the design basis. To create a wide open effect, almost all the doors were eliminated to present a lush, spacious design.
A dark brown sofa was specifically chosen to match the wall so that it appears almost like an extension of the wall.
White floating acrylic units installed against lace wood panels on the main feature wall is the visual focus of this space.
As the bedroom was small, a circular bed was placed diagonally in one corner to leave functional spaces on either side.
The ceiling lamp was designed to echo the bed’s circular form while bathing the room in sensual, ambient light.
Full length mirrored wall creates the illusion of space while the glamorous standing lamp brightens up the wardrobe in style.
The kitchen offers a fresh, pure white scene, which looks into the living area. The open concept benefits small spaces such as this.
Pure white worktops and cabinets made of crystallized acrylic which are practically scratch-resistant.
A metal rack hangs from the ceiling and gives additional storage without adding bulk to the space.
White color of the bathroom gives it a clean and refreshing feel while the lifted vanity station creats an impression of lightness.
